At least you still won't have to buy gas or diesel or even NG. Now to upgrade your vehicle to get a longer range out of it and longer battery life.

Hate to say it, but they're going to do it. They've already passed it one state, or at least the beginnings of it, and they're planning it in another couple of dozen of them. They realized they're losing revenue as a result of EVs and hybrids, and they're doing it to hybrids as well. Just wait until all the rest of the gas tax hikes hit, the carbon trading really takes place, the newer gasoline requirements come into play, etc. You're going to be paying more for everything right along with the rest of us.

""electric cars are NOT efficient, economical, nor green." No, actually they are pretty good. As bad as the EcoNuts would... large energy guzzling homes." Good points for the most part. I've been thinking of taking the time out to factor in everything, because no one has yet. They're better on the environment, but they're not for everyone, need to be taxed for the mileage used on the road and an equivalent for the amount of gasoline they'd be using otherwise, or then it's nothing more than a tax break for those who are wealthier.

So, you like the heater option for your electric? And unfortunately you've had to use it this year....

"$4.91 for NG isn't the fantastic bargain it was a few years ago under $2." That's very true! I said two years ago that it was headed back up and I was right. I said when oil and gas were at there lows in early 2009, that they were going back up and I was right! They're all going to go up more, and it's only a matter of time before they tax a gallon of gas AND a barrel of oil more! It's gonna happen! Natural gas is still a bargain as it's not at $6 and certainly not at the $8 to $10 it once was. It'll go up more though as well. People are still saving money with it, just as they are with solar, diesel or whatever if they're doing it right. I know a company here locally that went with natural gas two years ago, partially, and they're very happy they did!

I don't recall gasoline selling for .199 However, when fuel was normally priced at .299 I had a Union 76 station in Ft. Lauderdale where I bought gas for .239 Those were the days!
